NiCoTa GmbH maintains a tobacco collection of about 800 seed samples hosted by the Agricultural Technology Centre Augustenberg. In addition to landraces and improved varieties, which belong to the five most important groups of Nicotiana tabacum L., the collection also includes wild species of the genus Nicotiana. Data on tobacco accessions are available in the National Inventory on Plant Genetic Resources in Germany (PGRDEU).
