Invasive species: public participation started

The EU Regulation No. 1143/2014 requires the implementation into national law. The action plans for the priority pathways of invasive species are now available for comment.

To prevent alien species from having a negative impact on native habitats and species, the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety will draw up an action plan. Citizens can already get involved in the design phase and participate in the further elaboration of the action plan. The deadline for public comments is 16 November. The draft action plan is available for download at www.bmu.de/DL2518 (German only).
