BLE establishes a support programme for investments in animal welfare

The federal programme for stable conversion program supports i. a. pig breeding farms that want to adapt the keeping conditions for sows to the new requirements of the national livestock keeping regulation. The BLE is looking for 20 committed employees to implement this federal programme. The application deadline is 21st September 2020.

Budget funds totaling 300 million € have been set aside in 2020 and 2021 to promote stable conversion. The funding rate is 40 percent of the eligible expenses. The maximum limit for funding is 500,000 € per farm and investment project. A corresponding funding directive is currently being drawn up.
